Malloy wary of US immigration 'hold'

HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is responding cautiously to a federal program that would ask state or local officials to hold a suspect for possible deportation.

Mike Lawlor, Under Secretary for Criminal Justice Policy and Planning, said Monday that federal immigration officials could begin its Secure Communities program in Connecticut on Wednesday. The program uses fingerprints collected in local jails to identify illegal immigrants who have been arrested.

Malloy said the state will respond on a case-by-case basis to requests that immigrants arrested be held until federal immigration officials pick up the suspect.

Lawlor said victims and witnesses in the immigrant community could be reluctant to cooperate with local and state law enforcement if they fear deportation. He said the federal program could potentially interfere with law enforcement.

Malloy and the other CT Democrats will break the law to protect illegal immigrants - even if it means that a legal resident is hurt - or murdered - by this. The illegal immigrants are part of the Democrat base - most all of the illegals are collecting something from the CT taxpayers and the Dems want to keep it going - they want them to vote eventually as it is evident that the CT Dems are working on this as well. If the taxpayers wise up and vote these clowns out we would be in much better shape as a State - but the public union teachers and the professors are working hard to brainwash our kids and maintain the Dems socialist state - the voters of this State are clearly brainwashed!

**Mike Lawlor, Under Secretary for Criminal Justice Policy and Planning, said in a statement Monday that Malloy believes the program converts local law enforcement officers into U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents....** so, if we get invaded by another country, it will be BEYOND law enforcement to engage the invaders????.....................BULL*****
