HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A task force recently formed in the hopes of reducing gun violence has announced a new website.
The special bipartisan task force who was recently announced by legislative leaders, is in charge of developing recommendations designed to reduce gun violence, enhance school safety, and increase access to mental health care.
task force's new website includes information on membership and four scheduled public hearings, as well as a link for submitting online testimony. Testimony can be delivered in person, or e-mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The task force was created in response to the tragedy at Sandy Hook, in which 20 children and six educators were killed during a shooting at the Newtown school on December 14th.
