PD investigate use of Hartford city car

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)-- Hartford police are checking out reports that the mayor's former chief of staff has been using a city car, even though he resigned a month ago.

Jared Kupiec resigned as chief of staff for mayor Pedro Segarra in June.

On Monday, the mayor's office confirmed that police are investigating Kupiec. There have been no arrests.

Mayor Segarra says he found out about the car use Monday and that he is disturbed and disappointed. He also said that the city will act accordingly.
